We are a group of professionals who believes that our current educational system is heavily slanted towards scoring marks. While it encourages a few to come up in life, the potential of a vast majority of intelligent minds is suppressed.

Spotting the potential young minds and building capabilities worthy of an Entrepreneurial-Manager, is thus the raison d'etre for our continuously striving to create an ensemble of excellence the faculty, the students and the facilities.

Pursuing the thoughts of our Patron Chairman, the legendary Mr. Ajit N. Haksar. EMPI was conceptualized by Consultant Mr. Pankaj Saran and founded in 1994 to impart new values and skills to those who have the potential and willingness to face the challenges of the 21st century as entrepreneurial-managers.

This gave a fillip to Col. P. S. Satsangi VSM's wishes of establishing a Management Education Centre at the CSKM Educational Complex, New Delhi which had the right ambiance for higher education. EMPI operations began when the former Director BHEL and Sr. Management Consultant Commonwealth (UK) Mr. Gurnam Saran, stepped in as EMPI's Founder President and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) gave approval for conducting the Post Graduate Programme in Business Management.

Instant student's response drawn from highly intellectual family environments (Civil and Armed Services, Business Executives, Entrepreneurs and the like) to our Programmes, indeed confirmed our faith. Result... our spirited EMPIans - Lady & Gentleman Young Managers (LYMs/GYMs) as we call them.

In building together all round excellence, EMPIans have been the proud beneficiary of more than a decade of continuous interaction with our founder Chairman Emeritus ITC Ltd., Mr. Ajit N. Haksar, who remained not only our Patron Chairman but also an omnipresent friend, philosopher and guide. Since his demise in 2005, the regime of providing guidance to EMPI Institutions are in the hands of Dr. N.C.B. Nath, Former Chairman, Fair & Professor, IIMs (Ahmedabad & Bangalore) joining as the Founder Chairman of our Academic Council. The other well known personalities who joined EMPI’s galaxy of advisors include Ms. Tara Sinha, Mr. N. Vittal and Dr. Udai Pareek.
