With the launch of the 7th Indian Institute of Management (RGIIM), the Government of India has provided a new impetus to the quality management education in the north East.Named after the visionary leader and late Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi,it aptly echoes his mission of mordenizing and globalizing the country through the promotion of quality higher education in all parts of the country.
The Mission
The Mission of the Indian Institutes of Management as defined in their Memorandum is primarily to serve the needs of industry and commerce; to train young men and women for careers in management connected with industry, commerce and business enterprises; and to undertake research and other activities to promote effective management of such enterprises.
The mission of RGIIM is to create an institution of excellence having a national character while also considering the needs and aspirations of the people of the region.
